I still can't get over what an amazing birth I had with him. We had an absolutely wonderful Midwife! She has been practicing for over 20 years and mostly worked in an Amish community until recently. </div><div><br /></div><div>I have to say it is so hard doing a photo shoot with your own newborn! Especially when you factor in a toddler that is constantly waking him up! Sometimes at a newborn session, especially when mom is breastfeeding, I will ask Mom to leave the room because it is easier to keep the baby asleep. They will smell Mom and want to nurse &amp; amazingly it works every time! An actual session with my kids just doesn't happen because it is soooo hard!! </div><div><br /></div><div>Now if Jacob was home and I was taking pictures of both of them it may have been totally different, they probably would have fought for who got to be in front of the camera &amp; ended up a disaster!</div><div><br /></div><div>I practically had to beg for these!! So no worries Mama's out there interested in Maternity pics I can get rid of them for ya!</div><div>We see our Midwife Kathy tomorrow who is so great! For those of you that don't know this will be our 2nd home birth (as long as I stay health of course!)! So exciting! Our Midwife comes to us for our prenatals so we don't even have to leave home! We plan on having our kids present for the birth also! He basically runs this family. We keep saying he is going to be a bit shocked once the baby comes when he is not the center of attention anymore. Lucas didn't want to sleep for us, he didn't go into a deep sleep the whole 5 1/2 hours during our session. Mom (who you may remember from <a href="http://christinakingsleyphotography.blogspot.com/2009/09/alaina-fenton-michigan-photographer.html">this session</a>) felt so bad it took so long but I don't mind at all. I have a rambunctious 2 year old at home &amp; it is almost a break for me, lol!!! It seemed so many things had gone wrong for me that week I was so worried I wasn't going to be able to shoot this wedding. My son was admitted into the hospital 3 days prior. Thankfully he was released that morning and I had no worries that day.
